life

We can see from the etymology of life that it originally meant the opposite of death. That is, those who were not killed in battle continued to be alive. There is little in this initial definition to indicate the relationship between life and an animating spirit, emanating from the Divine.

It is therefore not surprising that scientists, studying so-called inanimate objects in physics, can tell us little about the meaning of life.

More to come.

Life

In Panosophy, Life is the creative power that emanates directly from the Origin of the Universe, as its Divine Source, manifesting the entire world of form, from atoms and stars, through plants and animals, to concepts and signs. This conception of Life is the third pillar of wisdom, replacing the scientific notion that life is a property of the DNA molecule, which is the third pillar of unwisdom underlying Western civilization.
