To start the year, Maurizio Benazzo, co-founder of the Science and Nonduality Conference (SAND), invited me to write an article for its website, which I titled Unifying all opposites in Wholeness, which was not published in either the original or revised version.

The reason for the rejection became crystal clear the next month when I read On the Mystery of Being: Contemporary Insights on the Convergence of Science and Spirituality, which Maurizio introduced and edited with his wife Zaya. They say in the Introduction, “we can never understand, but only surrender to the mystery we call life.” This is not true in my experience. So, in March 2020, I wrote a 16-page article titled ‘Demystifying the Mystery of Being’.

This also was the time that the great existential crisis in society intensified with the Covid-19 pandemic, causing the deaths of hundreds of thousands of people, so far, and the collapse of the global economy. Not only this. The reduction in industrial activity was also leading to a reduction in the aerosol masking effect, also known a global dimming, with significant effects on abrupt climate change and hence on near-term human extinction.

These events seem to indicate that completing the final revolution in science is no longer of any relevance, with or without the support of organizations such as SAND and the Galileo Commission, from which I have now resigned as an adviser.

Accordingly, in the spring I wrote three reflective pieces on my life so far, titled ‘My Quest for Oceanic Ecstasy’, ‘Viewing the Global Crisis with Self-reflective Intelligence’, and ‘Being a Panosopher’, written to celebrate the fortieth anniversary of evolution changing direction from the horizontal to the vertical dimension in time within me.

Nevertheless, the creative power of Life has continued to pour through me unabated, leading me to write the fourth chapter of my book Unifying Mysticism and Mathematics: To Reveal Love, Peace, Wholeness, and the Truth, titled ‘Sequences, Series, and Spirals’.

I plan to write one more chapter titled ‘Universal Algebra in Practice’. When this is completed and integrated into the rest of the book, one purpose will be to present the algebra of algebras (as a non-deductive meta-algebra) that David Bohm said in 1980 that he might need to mathematically establish the validity of his profound synthesis of quantum and relativity theories, still not accepted by most physicists.

Other important writings, following the presential election in the USA, are five reflective posts on my eponymous website, titled ‘Transcending polarized fragmentation’, ‘Bipartisanship’, ‘Projection’, ‘Our evolutionary inheritance’, and ‘The Implicate Order’.
